The best adventures are those that contain surprises. There are wonders to be discovered by getting lost in the Highlands of Scotland or on the back roads of New England. I loved driving up the passes in the Dolomites behind the wheel of a Mercedes B Class. Then, there were those who rode their bikes up and down and enjoyed it just as much.
