When traveling in Europe I had rarely thought about Brussels as a destination. My grandson wanted to stop by there in our flight to South Africa. A stop over cut the 25 hour flight in half. We flew to CDG and took the brief train ride to Brussels. I was happy that he had done his homework as it was a great visit. An interesting center of European government, it has much to offer. It has been at the center of two world wars and its history is fascinating. The photo above is the central square in the city. It is a favorite gathering place for many events.
