Today it looks like an office building more than an apartment. It stands on a average street with a canal running by. The story that it tells is of a Jewish family hiding so they would not die at the hands of the Nazis. A little girl writing a diary is a most powered inditement of those who cannot tolerate a whole group of people. The stairs are steep and the air stuffy behind the false door, but we suggest that it is an important visit in this political climate.
