WELCOME

This blog is about the adventure of traveling and especially the interesting people that you meet. We will share stories about people and places we have encountered from around the United States, Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, Mexico, The Vatican, The Netherlands, Belgium, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Liechtenstein, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and more. This is not a travelogue -- we leave that to Rick Steves -- this is a collection of fragments in the journey of life.

Out our Paris window

Why a garbage truck?
My grandson loved garbage trucks at the time so I took photos of them in at least four countries.
This one also includes a small grocery store (behind the hood of the truck.. see fruit.).
We needed to go to the store regularly because we were cooking breakfast in our rented flat.
We have done this a number of times and because the flats have not had pepper for eggs
we brought home pepper shakers. Always white pepper.
The eggs were from free range chickens and the shells took a major whack to break them.
We did not bring any eggs back.
