WELCOME

This blog is about the adventure of traveling and especially the interesting people that you meet. We will share stories about people and places we have encountered from around the United States, Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, Mexico, The Vatican, The Netherlands, Belgium, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Liechtenstein, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and more. This is not a travelogue -- we leave that to Rick Steves -- this is a collection of fragments in the journey of life.

Statues

Peter Pan - Kensington Gardens, London

Kenmare. Ireland

Rome, Italy

Some of the most delightful pieces of public art are the statues. In Dublin there is "Molly Malone", in Florence there is Donatello's "David", in Rome there are examples everywhere. In Washington, D.C. is one of my favorites and that is the figure of "Albert Einstein". I was surprised to see one of George Washington outside of the National Gallery in London. Certainly many of these are of famous people or literary figures and some are just objects to admire:
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
