WELCOME

This blog is about the adventure of traveling and especially the interesting people that you meet. We will share stories about people and places we have encountered from around the United States, Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, Mexico, The Vatican, The Netherlands, Belgium, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Liechtenstein, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and more. This is not a travelogue -- we leave that to Rick Steves -- this is a collection of fragments in the journey of life.

Chief of Police parks on wrong side of road?

The photo above was taken on the Dingle Peninsula in the Republic of Ireland.
The former Chief of Police is the local history buff and tour guide and he took us on a tour.
The photo below is of some islands just off the coast which were the backdrop for several movies. The Chief said that one rarely sees them as it is not often this clear. He was excited about it and pulled over to let us out. The van is not on the wrong side of the road. It is Ireland.

Do you see the man lying off shore? The Irish do.
