WELCOME

This blog is about the adventure of traveling and especially the interesting people that you meet. We will share stories about people and places we have encountered from around the United States, Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, Mexico, The Vatican, The Netherlands, Belgium, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Liechtenstein, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and more. This is not a travelogue -- we leave that to Rick Steves -- this is a collection of fragments in the journey of life.

Busker in Barcelona

I have a good friend, actuary a dear friend, who during college took off for Europe with her violin and was a busker in Paris and other cities. If you have not heard the term, a busker is a street musician usually passing the hat to make a living.  While we have seen many in various large cities in the U.S. they are more popular in Europe and Great Britian. I have a number of photos which I will share.
This busker was in Spain playing traditional Spanish music. A lovely way to stop being a busy tourist is to take a moment and listen...and toss a Euro.
