The Alcazar in Segovia, Spain is lovely from the outside. It sits on a point overlooking a valley. There is a moat in front and it is exactly as one would picture a castle in Spain. Inside, the details are splendid. My habit is to look at ceilings and down to floors for some reason. It appears to me that they tell some special stories. These two photos are of a ceiling and an upper wall. The figures on the bottom one are just a few rulers of Spain. The upper one shows the Moorish influence with its emphasis on symmetry.
The best adventures are those that contain surprises. There are wonders to be discovered by getting lost in the Highlands of Scotland or on the back roads of New England. There may just be a chance to meet a special character who changes your life. In ancient times these were sometimes known as angels.
WELCOME
