WELCOME

This blog is about the adventure of traveling and especially the interesting people that you meet. We will share stories about people and places we have encountered from around the United States, Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, Mexico, The Vatican, The Netherlands, Belgium, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Liechtenstein, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and more. This is not a travelogue -- we leave that to Rick Steves -- this is a collection of fragments in the journey of life.

Our last flight to and fro Europe

Our airline of choice is Air France. CDG airport is like coming home. This time we got a deal on Lufthansa out of SFO to Frankfurt.  We booked two seats in Premium as always. There being no sets left in Premium we were automatically bumped up to Business. Being frequent flyers helps, plus holding tickets marked Priority is okay too.

Business Class on Lufthansa was only a little better than Air France Premium although the Lounges are very nice. In Frankfurt we took a smaller plane First Class to Prague.

On the way back to San Francisco we flew Premium from Munich Non-stop. OK flight.

Still, the best bet and deal is Air France which does not cost that much more than coach.
