WELCOME

This blog is about the adventure of traveling and especially the interesting people that you meet. We will share stories about people and places we have encountered from around the United States, Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, Mexico, The Vatican, The Netherlands, Belgium, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Liechtenstein, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and more. This is not a travelogue -- we leave that to Rick Steves -- this is a collection of fragments in the journey of life.

Sick in London? No problem.

Speaking from experience, medical systems are good all over Europe.
The counties of the European Union are not third world countries.
I had  cough in London and found out that the pharmacy is the first place to go.
The Pharmacist took my blood pressure, checked my symptoms and gave me what I needed.
I went to Urgent Care in Munich. Often on a long air trip I get a sinus infection.
Doctor in English checked me out and gave me a prescription. Total cost: $8 US.
They have medicine for all.
I have needed other help in Florence and Verona -easy.
I do not suggest you will need medical help, but most European are state of the art.
