WELCOME

This blog is about the adventure of traveling and especially the interesting people that you meet. We will share stories about people and places we have encountered from around the United States, Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, Mexico, The Vatican, The Netherlands, Belgium, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Liechtenstein, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and more. This is not a travelogue -- we leave that to Rick Steves -- this is a collection of fragments in the journey of life.

Verona Italy - afraid of heights

That tower is really old and doesn't look safe.

The view from the top. There is a small elevator and then steps to the top. There is a very substantial guard rail. I do have some anxiety about heights. I have experienced it only in a few places such as the former Sears Tower (Chicago) and the Hancock Tower (Boston). Then there is Verona in the rain. I not only had some anxiety about the height, but also some excitement about this beautiful city. Sometimes you just have to suck-up your fear and enjoy the view.
