When is the best time to go to San Francisco?

     We love San Francisco. We live very near it and often go into "The City". The photo above was taken the day after Thanksgiving last year. We were about to walk across the Golden Gate. The weather was lovely and almost always is in the Fall.
     Most people visiting San Francisco arrive in the Summer. Often it is very hot in the internal valley of California. This means the hot air rises and draws in the cool air (and fog) from the ocean. People are often surprised at how cold it is in California in the summer. The merchants who sell sweatshirts love it. You will need shorts in Sacramento or Los Angeles, but usually a jacket in San Francisco in August. That is why we go int the city for day trips in the summer.
     When is the best time to go to San Francisco? Truth is, any time.
