WELCOME

This blog is about the adventure of traveling and especially the interesting people that you meet. We will share stories about people and places we have encountered from around the United States, Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, Mexico, The Vatican, The Netherlands, Belgium, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Liechtenstein, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and more. This is not a travelogue -- we leave that to Rick Steves -- this is a collection of fragments in the journey of life.

Cahir Castle - Hidden Gem

Certainly The Rock of Cashel is a great stop in Tipperary, Ireland, but just south is Cahir. I attest to the fact that it is less crowded and much more accessible. I am not saying it is better, but I enjoyed our visit there just as much or more.  Cahir is a nice town and the castle is near the main highway which makes it easy to get to. I encourage you to go on the Internet and look at photos of both and not miss Cahir Castle if at all possible. The pictures above were taken by me and represent the ramparts and some of the central court.
