WELCOME

This blog is about the adventure of traveling and especially the interesting people that you meet. We will share stories about people and places we have encountered from around the United States, Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, Mexico, The Vatican, The Netherlands, Belgium, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Liechtenstein, Portugal, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and more. This is not a travelogue -- we leave that to Rick Steves -- this is a collection of fragments in the journey of life.

Florence, Italy

Far away or close up, Florence is a wonderful city and the favorite place of many people. There are countless reasons to make it popular from an active nightlife to a place of impressive art and history. There is lots to see and do - and some wonderful place to do nothing. The two photos above were taken with a wide angle lens and a telephoto lens. I was standing on a famous and busy bridge, but the scene was all I was focused on. It is lovely.
Remember to visit both sides of the river. They are very different, but equally interesting.
