The Alhambra, Granada Spain

Situated on a high hill overlooking Granada is the Alhambra. I was introduced to it by my in-laws who visited years ago and brought me "Tales Of The Alhambra" by Washington Irving. It became a goal then. We planned a road trip out of Madrid with this in mind. You have to book ahead - likely with a guide - and travel up the hill by bus. It is crowded because it is interesting and beautiful, so don't let crowds scare you away. Every place there is a photo opportunity.
